The Values That Keep Heathline Commercials Moving

The Values That Keep Heathline Commercials Moving

For over 50 years, Heathline Commercials has been keeping the North East moving. From supporting owner-drivers to maintaining entire fleets, we’ve built a reputation for reliability, expertise, and service you can depend on.

But like any strong business, we recognise that standing still isn’t an option.

Reflecting on Who We Are

Recently, our Directors have been taking part in the SULA programme with the Entrepreneurs’ Forum, a process designed to challenge thinking, encourage growth, and strengthen leadership.

As part of this journey, it prompted an important question: What do we truly stand for as a business today?

While our history speaks for itself, we wanted to take the time to reflect, refine, and clearly define the values that will guide us into the future. This wasn’t about starting from scratch, it was about identifying the principles that already exist within our team and making them clear, consistent, and meaningful.

Introducing Our Core Values

Following discussions across the leadership team and input from our wider team, we defined five core values that represent Heathline Commercials today: Teamwork, Respect, Integrity, Customer Focus and Excellence - TRICE.

These are not just words. They are the standards we hold ourselves to every day.To mark the launch, we brought the whole team together and in true Heathline style, celebrated with cupcakes featuring each of our core values. A small gesture, but one that reflects something bigger: this is about everyone in the business, not just leadership. Because values only matter when they’re shared, understood, and lived by the entire team.

Built on Experience, Driven by Values

We’re proud of the business we’ve built over the past five decades  but we’re just as focused on what comes next.

By clearly defining what we stand for, we’re strengthening the foundations for the future, creating a better environment for our people, delivering even stronger service for our customers, and continuing to play our part in keeping the North East moving.

A team of budding engineers from Bedlington Academy took the chequered flag in an exciting STEM challenge that saw Year 7 students design, build and race their own rocket-powered cars as part of the national Race to the Line competition. Sponsored by Heathline Commercials, part of our family-run Moody Group, the initiative gave 170 students the chance to put science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) into action by creating high-speed vehicles from bio-compostable foam blocks before launching them down a custom track.
